Another dope release from B Line Records dropped this month from the duo of UK veteran Grazzhoppa and Sparkii Ski, who go by the monikor These Handz. Grazzhoppa has been active for years and I always make it a point of checking anything this guy puts out, and this 45 certainly doesn't disapoint. The release crams in 4 tracks, and all of them expertly crafted heavy hitters. As usual with anything Grazzhoppa is involved in you can expect plenty of dope scratching and cut ups.
The release features vocals from Jmega (Tru Masterz), Don Streat, and Macabeats, and is pressed on clear transparent vinyl. Extra points for the dope homage to Son Of Bazerk with the cover art.
Out of the UK comes a new release on B Line records from lyricist Whirlwind D, who has been bubbling in the underground scene for a number of years. On this release Whirlwind D goes in and drops some heavy battle vocals. Both tunes are produced by Specifik who provides two furious uptempo B Boy backing tracks - Funky, hard, and a perfect pallete for the spit fire lyrics. And just as all good Hip Hop songs should, The choruses features some killer vocal scratching from Jabba The Kut who takes vocal samples from a variety of Hip Hop joints and strings them together - Very Dope.
Listening to this release it's evident that Whirlwind and his crew take their role in Hip Hop very seriously. It's localised for sure, but nothing corny about this release at all. Definately a release that die hard Hip hop heads around the world will appreciate. Worth mentioning that the cover art has been done by Mr Krum who brings his serious level of expertise to the project.
